This header will be displayed throughout manexCloud. For further detail on the header icons, see Article #5292.

  • Clicking the manex icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen will list the manex modules available.
  • Clicking the magnifying glass icon will give the user a variety of options with which to find a record.
  • Clicking on the up arrow icon will give the user the opportunity to select "New" or "Reports".
  • Clicking on the bell icon will display a list of BOM Imports that have been started.
  • Clicking on the clock icon will allow the user to clock into a job or work order.

If the user attemps to create a new import for an assembly and revision that already exist, the following message will be displayed:

This is to prevent users from accidentally working on multiple versions of the same record and wondering why their changes aren't being saved. Instead, the user is automatically redirected to the existing active import. Once the BOM is transferred, a new import can be started for the same BOM, or the part number or revision number can be changed in order for it to be treated as a new import. Another option is to delete the current active record and start fresh.

NOTE:  The import in process does not exist in the desktop. You must first transfer it in order to see the parts and changes. The "Existing Active Import" is an import that you can finish and transfer in order to see it in the desktop.

Once an upload of a BOM is initiated, a popup will appear validating the information entered. You can also initiate this validation after uploading by clicking on the "Validate" button in the upper left-hand part of the BOM Import screen.

Note: If the system finds errors during the validation process, these fields will be shaded in Redindicating that they have missing or incorrect information.

Selecting "ShowKey" will display a key explaining what the field colors stand for.

The Notes function can be accessed by clicking on the notebook icon in the upper right portion of the screen. This will display notes pertaining to this BOM Import and allow the user to add, edit, and delete notes.

Clicking the filter icon in the upper left of the Notes screen will allow the user to change how the notes are filtered:
